Dr. Kristina Henry Collins’ research focuses on multicultural gifted and talent education, STEM/ Advanced Academic identity and talent development, and parent STEM engagement. She is a graduate of the The University of Georgia, where she earned a Ph.D. in educational psychology with a minor in quantitative research methods. She also holds an Ed.S. in educational psychology from the The University of Georgia, a M.S.Ed. in mathematics from Jacksonville State University, a B.S. in engineering from The University of Alabama, and a Military Science diploma in cryptology from the United States Navy. She also holds K-12 professional endorsements and certifications in AP computer science, AP calculus, gifted in-field, technology education, and educational leadership & administration.
Dr. Collins has taught in diverse educational settings, including Title I middle and high schools, post-secondary, military, and community-based programs. At Texas State University, she teaches courses develops curriculum related to talent development and gifted education.
